Voith Turbo Advanced Propeller Technologies specializes in the development, design and production of propeller systems made from carbon fiber-reinforced compound materials (CFRK, GFK). The result are marine drives with a much higher efficiency than conventional bronze propellers. The innovative drive concepts also excel by their extremely low noise and vibration values. Due to the application of carbon fiber-reinforced compound materials, the propellers offer an excellent mass: performance ratio.
In 1993, Voith Turbo Advanced Propeller Technologies began with the development of the Contur Propeller, the world's first ship's propeller made from fiber compound materials.
