Design and function
A "Voith self-sustaining actuator" is the intelligent and compact electro-hydraulic combination of Voith way valve with integrated position controller, hydraulic cylinder with stroke measurement and hydraulic power unit with accumulator.
The integrated position controller realizes on demand of feeded set value 4-20 mA linear stem movement. In case of loss of electrical power for hydraulic power unit stem remains in latest control position due to blocking function. In case of trip (fast closing of valve) the accumulator of the compactly integrated hydraulic power unit ensures providing the required oil amount to stroke stem into its safety position.
