The Voith turbo transmission T 211 / T 212 bre, Voith highly fexible coupling and the diesel engine requested by the customer are combined and integrated in the Voith Flexframe. The air filter, exhaust system, generator, piping and auxiliary devices are also fitted. The Railpack is controlled using the VTDC electronic control unit (Voith Turbo Drive Control). The Voith axle gearboxes and Voith universal joint shafts supplement the driveline right up to the drive axle. A Voith cooling system (underfloor installation or roof attachment) can also be added to the system.
Scope
The Railpack is a compact underfloor drive system for diesel railcars. Since the turbo transmission T 212 bre is flange-mounted directly on the diesel engine, the Railpack is configured for 300 to 450 KW power ratings. This Voith-Powerpack is most especially suitable for applications in railcars with a maximum speed of between 120 and 200 km/h. |
