Voith Turbo Scharfenberg supplies impact protection modules with hinged front hoods combined with retractable or foldable automatic couplers. Additional shock absorbers can be installed in the modules if required.
Design
The impact protection unit is a modular design and can be tailored to any individual operating requirement. It allows quick and easy replacement of components in the case of accidents. The unit consists of the following main components:
- A base carrier
- Two lateral shock absorbers
- A bumper with plastic jacket
- A coupler front hood
