Scharfenberg couplers for freight wagons and industrial railways Type 140.
The outstanding benefits of the automatic Scharfenberg coupler are also used in freight applications such as coal and ore wagons, ladle cars and charge wagons, steel pouring ladle cars and wagons for the carriage of hot ingots.
A special coupler head has been developed to cope with the special requirements for high level stress and robustness in the mining and metallurgical industry.
Strength: 2000/2500 kN on compression and 1000/1500 kN on tension.
The type 140 coupler is available with
- Air pipe connections and electrical coupling
- Adaptor allowing direct connection to cars provided with a drawhook
- Remote-controlled selective uncoupling
- Rotatable shank (360°) allowing quick unloading
of cars
