Applications of hydrodynamic drives in rail vehicles

Voith turbo transmissions are robust, hard-wearing and have a long service life. Diesel railcars with turbo transmissions are in service with many state and privately owned rail companies in Europe, Asia, Australia, North and South America. In industrial locomotives with mixed shunting and mainline service, Voith turbo transmissions and Voith turbo reversing transmissions are achieving particularly high mileages. In total, 40 000 turbo transmissions have been delivered to 80 countries of the world.
