The (EDC-IF Electronic control Interface) has been developed especially for the control of diesel engines that are fitted with a Bosch EDC control system. The EDC-IF controls the start-ups and stops of the engine and is capable of communicating directly with the engine control via the integrated CAN-Bus. Due to the numerous digital and analogue channels, the EDC-IF can control the flame starting device, the starter motor, the EDC control system, the fuel pump and the slip control unit.
The EDC-IF is installed as a plug-in card in a 19-inch rack.
With the aid of a laptop, data can be exchanged via the series-fitted RS 232 interface of the EDC-IF.
