Originally designed for citybuses, DIWARail is the most successful and best-selling hydromechanical transmission in the 320 kW class.
With its contra-rotating differential converter acting as a hydrodynamic brake, it significantly reduces wear across the entire speed range.
With the power-split principle in first gear (achieved by a differential converter) it enables a high degree of power distribution, we well as mechanical power transmission up to 4th gear.
This makes the DIWARail ideal for economical rail vehicles in the lower output range. The latest version with reinforced PTO and secondary lube pump also allows towing while the engine is switched off. |
