The Vorecon works on the power splitting principle - the main portion of the power is transmitted via a planetary gear. The remaining portion of power, which is used for controlling the speed of driven machine, is taken off via a hydrodynamic component from the main shaft and feed back to the revolving planetary gear via the fixed planetary gear.
This principle makes it possible to achieve efficiencies of more than 95% over wide power ranges.
